CT scans aid clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment planning and after care of patients having treatments mainly in dentistry or oral surgery to the head, face and jaw. Most Dental practitioners are unable to provide CT scans due to the cost & availability however at The Smile Clinic Dental Practice, 61 Mill Road, Colchester we now have installed a Sirona Orthopos XG scanner meaning we can take multiplanar images for our patients and accept external referrals from other dental practices.
CT Scanner - Sirona Orthopos XG
CT scans are perfect for the treatment planning of dental implants and other treatments such as extractions, synthetic bone placement & complex oral surgeries.
The CT scan is very quick and easy to take. The scanner rotates around the head 360 degrees for no longer than 20 seconds. The image is then sent directly via computer to your dental record allowing your Dentist to review the findings at your next appointment. Not Registered? No problem- we are more than happy to take CT scans and provide your own dentist with a copy enabling them to plan for your treatment more effectively.
Our cone beam scanner is one of only a few in the Essex and Colchester area. We offer our CT scan service to local dentists who wish to refer their own patients to improve their treatment diagnosis and treatment planning. This includes the image being provided for your own use.
Prices start from just £95
