The Virtually Invisible Way to Treat Crooked Teeth

Invisalign virtually invisible aligners

Invisalign, as its name suggests, is a virtually invisible way to treat simple misalignment (crooked) of the teeth. This clever system features a series of clear, custom-made aligners, which gradually move crooked teeth to a more pleasing position. It can achieve great results if only a few of your teeth are out of place and you have only mild bite related problems.

Thanks to its hardly visible appearance, Invisalign is particularly suitable for adults and older teens who may feel self-conscious about wearing fixed braces. The aligners can also be taken out for teeth cleaning, eating whatever you fancy and for those special occasions when you want to look your best (but make sure you pop them straight back in afterwards!).

Free Invisalign Consultation

At The Smile Clinic in Colchester we offer free consultations to discuss your requirements and suitability for Invisalign. There are many benefits of using Invisalign braces including;

  • Barely visible
  • Can be taken out
  • Designed just for you
  • Thin and comfortable

The procedure of starting Invisalign with Dr Prashar at The Smile Clinic:

  1. Our first job is to work out if your problem can be treated successfully with Invisalign. This is carried out at our Colchester Clinic. If your misalignment can be rectified with Invisalign, we will collect a wealth of information about your teeth, which will include taking impressions and photographs.
  2. We then use advanced 3D technology to create a personalised plan, which details how your teeth will move and what they will look like at the end of the treatment process.
  3. When your specially produced aligners are ready to go, you will wear a different one every two weeks until your teeth are moved to an improved position.
  4. You will receive free tooth whitening at the end of your Invisialign full treatment (Normally costing £250)

It may feel a little uncomfortable when you wear a fresh aligner, but this is normally just a feeling of pressure and a good sign your teeth are on the move.

Even though Invisalign aligners are fully removable, they should be worn for at least 22 hours a day to ensure the quickest, most effective results.

Don’t forget, you will need to wear a retainer following any kind of treatment with braces to keep those straighter teeth in line.

Testimonial for Invisalign:

''I have recently finished my Invisalign with Dr Prashar. Fantastic results! I'm so happy with my teeth now and the excellent care from Dr Prashar throughout the years. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a perfect smile and to begin feeling confident. I've gone from hiding my smile to now not being able to stop smiling and showing off my teeth. I was always made to feel comfortable and treated with a lot of respect from everyone at The Smile Clinic''
